FIT4MOM McAllen Is Heading Back Outdoors at Bill Schupp Park!

March 2 – End of May

There’s just something special about spring in McAllen 🌞 And we are so excited to announce that beginning March 2, FIT4MOM McAllen will be holding our stroller fitness classes outdoors at Bill Schupp Park through the end of May!

Fresh air, open space, and that beautiful spring sunshine? Yes, please.

There’s nothing like moving your body outside. The fresh air and sunshine naturally boost your mood and energy — and your little one will love it too!

Bill Schupp Park gives us plenty of room for stroller strides, strength stations, cardio drills, and core work. We can spread out comfortably while still feeling connected as a village.

👶 Kid-Friendly Environment

Shaded areas, smooth walking paths, and green space make it ideal for stroller workouts. After class, littles can enjoy the park while moms connect.

🌤️ Perfect Spring Weather

March through May is one of the best times of year in the RGV. It’s warm but manageable — the perfect window to take advantage of outdoor workouts before summer heat sets in.

Outdoor classes have a special energy. Whether it’s our “mama question of the day,” playgroups after class, or just chatting under the trees, our village truly comes alive outside.

What to Expect:

Stroller Strides

A 60-minute total-body workout combining cardio, strength, and core — all while your little one rides along in the stroller. You’ll move through walking intervals, bodyweight exercises, resistance training, and engaging activities to keep your child entertained. Our instructors are certified in pre- and postnatal fitness, so you’ll get a safe, effective, and empowering workout.

Strides 360

Strides 360 is our stroller-friendly HIIT-style workout designed to improve endurance, strength, and agility. This class features timed intervals, dynamic cardio bursts, and strength circuits that challenge your entire body. It’s higher intensity (with modifications always offered!) and perfect for moms ready to level up their fitness — all while keeping little ones nearby in their strollers.

Saturday Kick-Off Party – March 7!

We’re celebrating the return of Saturday morning classes with a special Saturday morning kick-off workout and party on March 7 FOR FREE and OPEN TO EVERYONE! Join us for a fun cardio workout followed by snacks, refreshments, and time to connect with other moms. Of course your littles are invited to tag along too!

COME PREPARED

Here's a refresher on what to bring with you to our stroller fitness classes. Also, if you happen to forget something, you're surrounded by other moms who have your back

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Diaper bag essentials and snacks/toys for your little
  • Stroller or wagon for kids under 5 years old
  • Structured babycarrier (optional, but in case you have a stage 10 clinger)
  • Stroller fan (also optional, but helpful!)
  • Exercise mat
  • Water bottle
  • Sun protection - sunblock, sunglasses, hat

HELPFUL TIP:

Pack your stuff the night before to make your morning go smoother. Bag loaded up by the door, and stroller in the trunk or also by the door.
