Tell us about who is in your family.
- I’m a mama of three; my stepson, Kevin (7) and my twins, Dylan and Parker (1.5). I also have two fur babies, Diesel and Sadie and a wonderful husband, Kyle. I’m so blessed to get to love and be loved by them!
Where is your hometown?
I was born in Lewisville, Texas, but raised in McAllen, TX.
What is/was your career?
I’m a stay at home mom. The best job in the world!
How long have you been with FIT4MOM McAllen?
- I joined FIT4MOM McAllen in April 2023. I truly wish I would’ve joined sooner! It’s given me the opportunity to get out and move my body WITH my kids and likeminded women. I’ve made incredible friendships and gained an army of mamas to walk (and stumble) through life with.
What is your favorite class exercise?
- Stretching! I tend to put that part of my routine on the back burner so it’s nice to gather altogether at the end of a great workout to stretch.
What is something that has surprised you about motherhood?
- Absolutely everything! It’s funny (and also not, haha) how as soon as you think you have something figured out, it changes.
What are three of your favorite things?
- 1. Is it lame to say my family? They are the light of my life and bring me so much joy!
- 2. Dogs! Kind of the same reasoning as number 1. Don’t tell the humans.
- 3. Nerds Gummy Clusters. They are the superior candy.
What is your proudest mommy moment so far?
- For myself, breastfeeding. 18 months strong and still going. It’s something I’m so proud of and thankful for; something I don’t take for granted. Isn’t it incredible what women’s bodies can do?!
- For my children, I’m proud of the little people they are becoming. They’re funny, kind, strong-willed, compassionate, and so much more. I’m excited to see what they’ll do with their gifts!
What advice would you give to a new mother?
- Always, always, always trust your gut. It’s probably right. Pray a lot. God handpicked you to raise these precious souls so when you feel like you’re failing and are overwhelmed, drop to your knees and pray.
Anything else you'd like to add?
I’m so thankful to be a part of this incredible community. Moms need mom friends so desperately and these ladies go above and beyond for one another and their families. I’m blessed to know them.
